Mexican Tacos

Think of Mexican cuisine and tacos is the first thing that come to mind. Making tacos involves a long process, however anything made at home is always more tasty and satisfying!

Mexican Tacos



For Tacos:

  • 1 Cup Corn (Makai) Flour
  • ½ Cup Maida
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as per requirement

For Stuffing:

  • 100gms Rajma soaked, boiled and half crushed
  • 3-4 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • ½ Tbsp Chilli Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Butter/Ghee
  • 1Tbsp Vinegar
  • Salt to taste

For Cream sauce:

  • 1 Cup Hung Curd
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1 Tsp Powdered Brown Mustard Seeds
  • Powdered Black Pepper



For Taco Dough:

  • Mix Corn-Flour, Maida, oil, Salt and Water and knead the dough properly. Put it at rest for 30mins.
  • Roll out small pris from the dough. Make holes in between the puris so that the puri remains flat while frying.
  • In a wok heat the oil and fry the puris. While frying, fold the puri in U shape and hold it till it fries crispy.
  • Let it cool

 For Stuffing:

  • Heat Butter/Ghee in a pan. Add Rajma, Tomato Ketchup, Chilli Powder, Vinegar and Salt and cook it for 5-7 mins. Add water if needed and let it cool.

For Cream Sauce:

  • In a bowl add Hung Curd, Sugar, Fresh Cream, Powdered Mustard Seeds and Powdered Black Pepper and mix well.

To Serve:

  • Place the tacos in a plate. Fill the tacos with Stuffing, Chaat Masala and grated cheese.
  • Serve it with Cream sauce.
