Corn Pakoda

Corn Pakoda is a delicious evening snack during tea time. This recipe will help you learn to make an oil free Corn Pakoda using BOSS Sharp Griller Toaster.

1 cup sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
4 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
2 chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 cup water
1 tsp Oil
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
¼ tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
salt to taste
a pinch baking soda


  1. Grind corn kernels with water into fine paste and then collect it in a bowl.
  2. Add gram flour, dry fenugreek leaves, green chillies, asafoetida, turmeric, red chilli powder, baking soda and salt (if required) and make thick and pouring consistency batter.
  3. Ready your BOSS Sharp Griller Toaster and grease the surface with very little oil, make a round size patty dip it in the batter and place it on the griller toaster. Keep checking to make sure the golden brown color is achieved. Repeat to make the rest of the pakoda’s
  4. Serve with ketchup.
